Fear of Failure Training
Fear of failure, everyone knows it. You’ve prepared everything, understand what’s expected inside out, practiced well, and then you have to take the stage, and it happens – you freeze. Does this sound familiar? Then this fear of failure training is definitely for you.
Fear of failure is the fear of failing, especially in situations where you are being evaluated or where you think you are being evaluated (Beeld en Brein, 2019). This fear often hinders someone from doing what they enjoy. If someone is very insecure, they may develop a negative self-image. The fear of failing is central and determines one’s thinking. If the fear is so overwhelming that someone freezes, then we speak of fear of failure (Beeld en Brein, 2019).
Who is it for?
The fear of failure training is not only for dancers, it’s for anyone who wants to share their talents with the public. Think of singing, theater, rap, spoken word, and so on. If you want to share your talents but find it a bit scary sometimes, then this lesson is the right place for you. Together with your coach and a small group of people per period (maximum of 4 people, for 3 months), you will work on exactly what you find difficult. Through various exercises and training, you will learn to regain control over yourself. Your self-confidence will increase, and before you know it, you’ll be shining on stage.
